Your Permanent Voter's Card (PVC) is your ticket to vote. Here's how to check your status and find your polling unit.
Check PVC Status Online:
- 1.Visit INEC's voter verification portal
- 2.Enter your VIN (Voter Identification Number) — found on your temporary voter's slip
- 3.The system will confirm if your PVC is ready for collection
Find Your Polling Unit:
- 1.Visit INEC's polling unit finder
- 2.Enter your state, LGA, and ward
- 3.The system shows your designated polling unit
If Your PVC is Not Ready:
- •Visit your LGA INEC office in person
- •Bring your temporary voter's slip or VIN
- •INEC staff can check your registration status directly
Transfer Your Registration:
- 1.Visit the nearest INEC office
- 2.Request a transfer of registration
- 3.Provide your current PVC
- 4.Complete biometric verification at your new location
Important:
- •Your PVC can ONLY be used at the polling unit where you registered
- •You must vote in person — Nigeria does not allow postal or electronic voting
- •On election day, bring your PVC to your polling unit between 8:30am and 2:30pm
